Miles Rutendo Tanhira serves as the Programmes Manager and Community Building Lead at TGEU (Trans Europe and Central Asia), a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the rights and well-being of all transgender people in Europe and Central Asia. Miles’s work focuses on overcoming systemic barriers faced by transgender people globally, including violence, discrimination, and access to healthcare and legal recognition. He oversees the design and implementation of programs focused on fundraising, empowerment, transfeminine leadership, and member engagement strategies aimed at strengthening the capacities of trans communities and facilitating movement building. Miles also co-founded and leads the Trans Refugee Network, a coalition of organizations supporting LGBTQ+ refugees across Europe, through which the voices, visibility, and capacity of trans refugees are amplified. Miles is also the founder and co-chair of Queerstion Media, the first trans refugee-led organization in Sweden. Miles is committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized groups and building shared solutions across sectors.
