Urusaro Rwagaju is the creative and community lead of the Museum of Sticks & Stones, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering common ground and fighting toxic polarization in society through art, play, history, and education. The museum offers programs like The Parley, a public forum for individuals to engage in healthy disagreement to reduce hate and foster empathy. Urusaro leads a digital hub and debate series to combat online hate and foster empathetic dialogue, reaching over 150,000 people. As part of the museum’s internal design studio Mettlesome, she helps drive strategy and human-centred research projects with governments and changemakers. An award-winning vocalist and songwriter, Urusaro brings creativity, performance, and storytelling to reimagine belonging and social connection across Australia.
