Yara Ouda is a program officer for Youth, Peace, and Security at the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding, an Egyptian public agency affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that specializes in training, capacity building, and research in the fields of peace and security across Africa and the Middle East. Her work focuses on strengthening the capacities of young people in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and counterterrorism through innovative learning methods, inclusive policymaking, and essential skills development. Yara has played a role in shaping youth-inclusive policies at the African Union and the United Nations, particularly as she is currently appointed to the African Union’s WiseYouth Network on Conflict Prevention and Mediation. Her work amplifies youth voices across the continent and globally, supporting international peace and security, and sustainable development.
