Sarah Msambira is the director of agriculture for Small Farm Cities Africa, a social impact startup building affordable, job-creating agricultural communities. Integrating innovative approaches like commercial drip-irrigated greenhouses, open-field horticulture, poultry, and aquaculture with accessible house and community infrastructure, Small Farm Cities offers residents a sustainable path to income generation and home ownership. As an agronomist, Sarah has trained over 1,000 students and farmers, overseen the development of 28 commercial greenhouses, and facilitated the production of over 500 tons of fresh produce. Through her guidance, 19 families have successfully launched profitable agribusinesses, demonstrating her commitment to advancing food security and financial stability in rural Malawian communities through agriculture.
