Nonkululeko Neo Masoek is a governance research analyst at the African Peer Review Mechanism, a voluntary self-monitoring instrument adopted by the African Union member states to assess governance practices. For nearly a decade, her work has focused on sustainable development, particularly in the maritime sector, and civic participation of young people and women. She has led initiatives such as the Pan-African Inter-Party Dialogue on Democratic Governance and the development of the African Governance Report, which both aim to advocate for best practices for security and development and highlight early warning for conflict prevention in African countries. Nonkululeko is dedicated to fostering inclusive democracies and empowering marginalized communities through policy research and advocacy.
