Malikatou Hadiza Gabrielle Djermakoye is the founder and coordinator of the Alliance Against Noncommunicable Diseases, an organization working to prevent and improve access to care for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). Since 2019, she has actively engaged in advocacy and public health efforts across Africa and Europe, inspiring the next generation to adopt healthier lifestyles. Malikatou’s advocacy has contributed to the development of Niger’s national strategy for combating NCDs and has influenced the private sector through wellness campaigns. Through her school-based prevention program, she has provided education on NCDs and their long-term impacts to over 1,000 students. Malikatou is deeply committed to addressing the specific needs of women and youth, ensuring they receive attention and support in the fight against NCDs.
