Vera Osei-Bonsu is the founder and chief executive officer of Eat Smart Foods, an organization that exists to empower caregivers to make nutritious meals from local food ingredients to combat child malnutrition. Vera is on a mission to raise the standards of children’s diets in Ghana and Africa. In 2018, she wrote the first infant and toddler recipe book to empower caregivers of African children, “Start Right. Through her work, Vera empowers caregivers to give children healthy meal alternatives that are sourced from locally grown crops.
