Wandile Mthiyaneis an architectural designer, social entrepreneur, and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ubuntu Design Group (UDG), an architectural organization that focuses on social impact design projects ranging from individual housing to urban design. Influenced by his childhood experiences growing up in post-apartheid South Africa, Wandile founded UDG on the premise that if apartheid architecture could segregate and oppress, then community-led design can liberate and enable opportunities for all. UDG provides homes and micro mortgages to low-income families.
