MBK Orlando accepted the MBK Community Challenge to improve the lives of boys and young men of color in 2014. MBK Orlando is a partnership between Orlando Community & Youth Trust Inc., the City of Orlando, Orange County Public Schools, the Orlando Magic, and grassroots nonprofit organizations located in the City’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods. They seek to move the needle on academic achievement, juvenile arrests, and youth employment. Their work is innovative, evidence-based, data-driven, and emphasizes youth voices. In 2018, MBK Orlando was selected as an MBK Seed Community and is focused on all six MBK milestones.
