George Logothetis is the Executive Chairman of Libra Group, a privately-owned, international business group with assets and operations across nearly 60 countries. At the age of 19, George became CEO of his family’s company, Lomar Shipping, which had three vessels at that time. The business was grown into a modern and diversified 55-vessel fleet over 10 years, after which George founded Libra Group in 2003 at the age of 28. Today, Libra Group includes 30 operating entities - 20 businesses predominately focused on aviation, energy, maritime, real estate, and hospitality, as well as 10 social initiatives.

At the heart of Libra Group is a profound sense of social responsibility, and a commitment to growth with good, twin engines that drive all aspects of the organization. The Group’s 10 social initiatives deliver educational opportunities, business opportunities, and acts of humanity toward people who are marginalized or under-served. Today, the Group has founded or supports a wide range of social responsibility programs that span internships, educational fellowships, backing for    entrepreneurs, aid for refugees, and support for charitable institutions and other non-profit organizations.

George is Co-Chairman of the Leadership Council of Concordia, a non-profit organization that seeks to promote public-private partnerships, and is a member of the Board of Directors of President Barack Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Alliance.
